Equipment Rental
Several pieces of equipment are available to rent for establishment of wildlife habitat on your property.
A rental agreement must be signed and payment made to reserve the equipment. Rental agreements can be picked up at the Conservation Board office in Discovery Park at 3300 Cedar Street, Muscatine.
Or download the appropriate rental agreement and mail it to Muscatine County Conservation Board, PO Box 109, Muscatine, IA 52761.
In addition to the rental form, you must call ahead to (563) 263-4562 to set a date for picking up the equipment.
Truax Native Grass No-till Drill
This is a specialized no-till drill/seeder for the establishment of prairie plants such as: switchgrass, big bluestem, Indiangrass, buffalo grass, little bluestem, and numerous varieties of native flowers (forbs).
Fee: $15/day and $15/acre (minimum $75), plus an additional $100 refundable deposit.

Tree Planter
For planting tree and shrub seedlings. Requires tractor (45 hp minimum) with a three point hitch. Transportation to and from the planting site requires a vehicle with a 2” ball hitch.
Fee: $10/day, plus an additional $100 refundable deposit.
